The swan beat its bony wings and the chain wrapped around its neck of bones rattled. The once magnificent and alive bird flapped its arms once more, as if doing so would free him of the chain that had been binding him to the floor for so many years now. Suddenly there was a cry from the sky and a white bird flew over, blocking the moonlight. It flapped its wings and continued gliding across the sky. Almost pacing the clouds, as if waiting for its friend to join it and fly home, where ever that may have been. The undead bird let out a noise that sounded like a scream from the ground. The chains shaking loudly as the bird became frustrated and pulling against them. Trying to get away from its prison on the land. It looked up with eyes full of saddness as the other swan flew away - bored of waiting for someone who would never join him. |
